Welcome, classmates of IFHS 1969’s 50th Reunion!

The reunion is scheduled for the weekend of September 19-21st.  We have a jam-packed, eventful few days planned with lots of time to catch up, reminisce, see old friends, and create new memories and friends.

Every effort has been made to locate all classmates, but we still are missing some. As you look through the names, if you find someone that you know and how to contact them, please do so. Let them know and get contact information to us. Encourage your friends to attend.

Some of you have never attended a reunion, some of you haven’t attended one in quite some time, some of you haven’t missed one.  I (Kathy) am in the second category and Jensine is in the first. We all have our reasons, but we hope you consider attending the 50th.  Every effort is being made to have this reunion be outstanding with activities for all. Some are calling it a “once in a lifetime” experience.

It has been 50 years since we left high school and headed out on our great adventure called adulthood. Many of us have not been back to IF other than to see family if they were still around. I know that I had not been in contact with fellow graduates until this last April when a group of us who were all out of state, or at least out of Idaho Falls, began talking about this reunion. I have enjoyed getting reacquainted with many classmates. As an adult, I seem to have more in common now than I did back then. Our interests have changed over time as we have all experienced our many adventures in life.  If you have not yet joined our Facebook Group, please come join the fun.

A number of classmates have passed on over the years and we will remember them at our dinner. You have an opportunity to share a memory about them on the In Memory portion of the website.

We encourage you to register for reunion activities soon.  Online registration is open now on the 50th Reunion/Reunion Activity SignUps menu in the middle of this website's Home Page at the top. The first 50 classmates will have their names entered into a drawing for some fabulous prizes. There will be some fun prizes along the way for special numbers. Don’t miss out!

The Idaho Falls High School and Skyline High School Classes of 1969 will hold their reunions September 19-21, 2019. We have agreed to hold our icebreaker and our dinner events at different times. We will, however, offer a number of activities that graduates from both schools may choose to attend. Please refer to the separate Facebook pages and websites for details.  Please come join the fun on our Facebook group at , and if you are reading this, you are on the Idaho Falls High School Class of 1969 website, which is located at .

We have a unique history with split sessions for our first two years and then in our own buildings for our senior year. With the actual Skyline High School building observing its 50th year, both planning committees recognize the rationale expressed by the Skyline leaders to do something different. But, we also realize that we all lived in the same town and our paths crossed over the years from grade school and junior high, church activities, scouting, sports, etc. Our friendships did not stop because we attended different high schools.

As we go forward with our planning, we will post a “plan to attend” list of many activities (some free and some with a cost) that we can offer during the off times. We want people to get reacquainted with classmates and friends, remember the good times growing up, and, most of all, have fun!
