We worked through the Casey Foundation to love and care for children of all ages in long-term foster care. Two boys, brothers 9 and 11 were of particular memory. TJ and JR became part of our family for many years. We cared for both sets of parents until they went the way of the earth. We built two good businesses: MGI Marketing Group Inc. which we sold after 20yrs and Positive Motivations- a personal development company. Along the way we also built our first voice over recording studio and I became the voice of Hewlett Packard Co for 19 years plus many other companies. Today, I have fun in my home studio reading and narrating audiobooks (mostly non-fiction with some fiction for a change of pace. At 70yrs in 2021, like most of you, we are all striving to fend off aging and disease with nutrients, exercise, diet etc. May I suggest that finding new ways to help and serve others who are in need is one of the best anti-aging remedies there is in life! For most all of us in the class of '69, in spite of the challenges we've each endured over the past 50yrs, The Lord has been so very good to us throughout our lives! May God bless each of you. I regret being unable to attend our 50th year class reunion and look forward to attending our next exciting get together!

School Story

Active in sports, debate, choir, student council; served as Jr. Class president; Boy's Federation president.

What was your education path to the graduation stage in Idaho Falls and beyond? Where did you attend kindergarten, elementary school, junior high, high school, college?

Grades 1-5 at East Side; 6th at Hawthorne & old Central Jr HS; 7-9 at Clair E. Gale; 10-12 at IFHS. UCLA: Graduate Certificate- Broadcast Announcing; AARTS-(USAR School-Presidio): Broadcast Journalist, Public Affairs Officer, Course Instructor; ASU: BA-Marketing/Technology; HMI: Medical Meditation/Clinical Hypnotherapy; AMI: Technical Writing; AA Art; BS Marketing Communication

What did you think you wanted to do when you graduated from high school? Did you end up doing that, or something completely different?

On graduation, I planned to become an Engineer. 1971-US Army offered a Westpoint engineering scholarship which I declined, not wanting to make the Army my career. Instead, Broadcasting was my career of choice- combined with my 15yr apprenticeship in design and layout at the side of my father, an old-time commercial sign artist.

High points of your life since high school?

Military: On 24-hr call maintained all commuication systems for 5 missile sites along the Korean DMZ - dividing South & North Korea. Attended UCLA- graduate studies in Radio Announcing. Managed radio stations in Washington & Idaho. Started my own business- MGI Marketing Group- a media production company from 1993 to 2017. Our clients included HP, Delta Airlines, Microsoft, Micron, H2O International and more. The highest points have been finding and marrying my eternal companion; and, raising 7 wonder/talented children together.

Are you currently retired?

If so, what are you doing with all of that time? Did you move to a different place, or stay where you were?

We are working with the growing number of homeless families, immigrant families(legal), ex-cons, addicts and others living in Boise's homeless shelters. Many people just need a "hand up" to get a job, housing, food, clothing, medical, counseling or just a ride to places. They all have one thing in common: they just need to know that someone cares!

As a professional voice over artist, I stopped working 8- 5 a couple years ago. my recording studio is in my home and I record only the projects I chose. Currently working on an audiobook: "The 16 Fables of Integrity: A Guide To Business"; and, recording/producing 40 personal development audio programs- among others. I plan to retire when I get old!

What did you always want to do that you haven't done yet?

I'd like to Hike the Grand Canyon. Albeit, for now, I am content to live vicariously through Dan Dixon's hiking adventures and his beautiful photography.

Formal name at graduation
